Junior Whipman Rideout (Please note new route) Open to capable riders from P5 – S4 who reside in parish.
Lyne Park Shield – best turned out horse and rider under 16. T.P.I Equestrian Shield – Pony race.
Adult 5-a-side football, at the school playing field, Teams by invitation, Contact: Campbell Forsyth

Friday 3rd June

Floats Gather on The Lower Green Float Judging Commences (see programme for details). Installation of Whipman and Lass in the marquee on Lower Green Please come along and show your support. Grand Procession of Principals and Floats Led around the village by the newly installed Whipman and Lass, Robert Dow and Sophie Eliot and the West Linton & District Pipe Band
Entrants participate at their own risk. Installation Ceilidh in the marquee. Drumaw Ceilidh Band. A celebration for the whole community. Licensed Bar. Tickets £5 now on sale from Rumbling Tams.

Saturday 4th June

Whipman Rideout Leaves the village
Rideout starts from Howieson Hall, Station Road. There will be a map of the route available so follow the rideout by car and watch the races. Waterston Trophy – Sashes Chase. Bank of Scotland Trophy – Winner of Open Chase. Fancy Dress Competition (see programme for details) at the marquee. Fancy Dress Prize Giving in the marquee directly after judging. Junior Fun Day The Lower Green. Balgonie Mews Cup Junior Tug ‘o’ War, Lynedale Cup Obstacle race, Macgregor Cup & Young Trophy

Sunday 5th June

Whipman Service. Newlands Church, time to be confirmed. Cycle Rideout. Fun for all the family and all levels of fitness. Meet at School playing fields in Deanfoot Road.
Map of route available in local shops. Cycle helmets must be worn. Dog Show on Lower Green. (see programme for details) Cream teas served Fun for Four. Whipman Golf Event.

Monday 6th June

Junior Football at the school playing field. (Primary 4 to age 15) (The Abernethy Trophy)
Junior Netball end of Football pitch. (Primary 5 to age 14). Cycle Races. Deanfoot Road. Children’s races first. Cycle helmets must be worn.
Primary School Races.
Secondary School Races for S1 to age 14. Mens Race (Graham Cup Event)
Womens Race (William Black Rose Bowl Event)

Tuesday 7th June

West Linton Toddlers Group Fun Day in the marquee.
P1-P7 Rugby Adult Rugby.

Cross Country Races (All Wednesday events will be held on the Lower Green)

7-a-side Hockey For Boys and Girls P4 to age 15. (Hilary Brown Quaich)
Whipman Procession Led by the West Linton & District Pipe Band starts at the school, walking around the village to end at War Memorial where the Whipman will lay a wreath.
Sports Day Opened by Whipman and Lass on Lower Green. Cream Teas available in Marquee.

Tug ‘O’ War (Downie Cup and Hardie Trophy) Presentation of Cups and Trophies by The Whipman’s Lass & Presenting Lady Draw for Grand Raffle.
